19 Years Later…
On our anniversary, we sat down to compile some sage advice. But the older we get, the more we realize we don’t know. So instead we came up with a top notch list of things we’ve learned.

Waking up your spouse to tell them you can’t sleep does, in fact, make you feel better.
“Give me ___ more minutes” is not a sharp estimate; it’s a math problem. Multiply given number by six to get the actual answer.
His takeout leftovers are considered neutral territory. Eating mine is an act of treason.
Falling in the toilet at 3 a.m. due to an illegally lifted seat is a core marital experience.
The tennis match of “go ask your mom, go ask your dad” should be an Olympic sport.
House projects are treated as complete once they hit the 85% mark.
The King James Version of “the kids and I will take care of a new dog” actually translates to “you’ll take care of the new dog.”
Your husband leaving you in the dust as soon as he hops out of the car doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you. He’s just excited to see what’s new at Costco.
